Almost impossibly - the video quality was even worse! The entire production was simply a poorly assembled and redundant photo slide show of a truly horrible standard and erroneously edited with pre-teen level camera work.
VERY amateurish and boring, the worst part for me was the seething hatred and accusatory tone apparent in the voice of the narrator, and that conversations were obviously clipped, diced, and manipulated to put the protagonist in the WORST possible light. Seemingly made on a production budget of $13.59 this video fails miserably!

DOCUMENTATION:

Even more derailed than the production: This "movie" confirms the grim reality of the much reported bias the filmmaker has against Larry Norman - having spent less than 2 minutes of the entire film on Larry's REAL attributes seen by thousands over decades of integrity, character, generosity & humor, and the rest of the time impugning him for all sorts of horrible things that were easily and correctly dismissed as hearsay and rumor while Larry was alive...
Objectivity was a million miles away from this hack flick, and was only barely hinted at when truly objective statements were sparingly sprinkled in the last few moments of the film.
It is clearly a case of slander per se, which explains it’s posthumous release… and don’t tell me this “took years to complete” – the whole project could easily have been done in one week.

CONCLUSION:

If anyone can watch this slanderous tripe without feeling cheapened or deceived, I seriously question THEIR integrity! Almost anyone could have made a better film than this personal vendetta… wait for a real moviemaker to tell this story of the centric character in Jesus Music – it deserves to be told.

RIP Larry Norman.

Comment on Pearl Jam’s Jeff Ament Injured in Robbery Outside Atlanta Studio

It sucks to get robbed in any capacity... Kidney Now has got to be one of the most genius things that 30 Rock has done this season, and that’s saying a lot. I like how they are able to satirize the whole celebrity song for a cause thing while also truly spreading the word about this cause.

Great celebrity cast, good idea to include Cyndi ‘We are the World” Lauper and I was also way happy to see Rhett Miller lending his vocals to the cause, too. I’ve been anxiously waiting for his new album to come out next month, but for now I’m happy just to see him on 30 Rock.

FYI check out a video clip of the song at : http://displacedbrett.wordpress.com/2009/05/18/the-return-of-rhett/

Comment on OBIT: Danny Gans, 52, Impressionist

i would assume that any mainstream Vegas entertainer would live a physically unhealthy life and thus die young

Comment on Marijuana Advocates Point to Signs of Change

NEW YORK MARIJUANA LEGALIZATION MOVEMENT

The marijuana legalization movement in New York is pressing the issue in Albany. Many are pushing to get legislators to pass a medical marijuana bill, but Abigail Storm, Director of C.A.M.P. Citizens Against Marijuana Prohibition, says that's still a violation of people's rights. Her organization makes it clear that the government is committing a crime against the people by perpetuating a lie that marijuana is a danger to public health and safety.

In order for a drug to be on the schedule 1 list it must have no medical value and have a high potential for abuse. Now that many scientific experiments have shown that concentrated doses of THC will kill cancer cells and stop tumors from growing, it is beginning to look like this may be the most powerful medicine in the world. The federal government owns a patent on cannabinoid medicine being used as an anti-inflamitory, and indeed it is the most effective arthritis treatment yet known. The medicinal value having been proven many times over and the potential for abuse idea resting on the belief that regular use is somehow abuse, there is every reason to pull marijuana from the list.

With an emphasis on the natural healing properties of cannabis flowers and the unjust persecution of harmless marijuana users, Storm and her supporters are asking Governor Paterson to protect people's right to grow their own and to release all marijuana prisoners. "It's planting time," says Storm, "and the police in New York State should be focusing on real crimes like corruption." Abigail says that God created marijuana and every other plant to be a benefit to humankind and the world. She says that the Medical Marijuana bill that is being proposed in the Senate is too restrictive and under the Constitutional Law, no police officer has a right to arrest a grower or user for simply possessing marijuana. Taxing and regulating sale of marijuana would be more appropriate, but setting the prisoners free is a top priority. When asked if she thinks it will be legalized soon, she says it's already legally protected by the Constitution and the police who enforce the marijuana laws and the legislators who allow it to continue are the ones committing a crime.

www.nycamp.org

Comment on Talent trumps all for YouTube sensation Susan Boyle

Susan left me teary eyed when I saw her performance.
